Bingo

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm. We have two jackpots – €3,000 and €3,100 to play for each week.

 

Lotto

The winning numbers in last week’s lotto were: 2, 8, 20 and 21. No winner. The €20 winners were: Alice Corrigan, Rathattan, Hollywood, Nan Dooner, c/o Hollywood bingo, Helen Keogh, c/o Hollywood bingo, Jackie Traynor, Johnstown, Hollywood and Shane O’ Reilly, Hollywood Lr.

Our Lotto jackpot now stands at €4,400. Get your tickets for the next draw 28th November from the Hollywood Centre, Daly’s shop and local sellers.

 

Hollywood Fair

A General Meeting of the Hollywood Fair will be held on Saturday 30th November at 8.30pm in the Hollywood Centre to review the Fair of 2013. We look forward to seeing you on the night.

 

Senior Citizen Christmas Party

The Senior Citizen Christmas party will take place on Thursday 12th December at 3.30pm in the Hollywood Inn. Invitations will be going out shortly.

 

Memorial Service

A Memorial Service for Jim Lydon will be held in Trinity College on Wednesday 27th November at 6pm in the College Chapel. All are welcome.

 

 

Parent & Toddler Group

The Parent & Toddler Group meet every Thursday morning in the Hollywood Centre from 10am – 12 noon.

 

Whist

Whist will take place in the Hollywood Centre on Monday 25th November at 8.30pm. All welcome.

 

GAA

The Hollywood GAA AGM is scheduled for 24th November in the GAA Centre @ 4.00pm.

 

Junior B Team

Congratulations to The Junior B Team won the West Cup beating Baltinglass by a score of 12pts to 5 in Baltinglass on the 10th Nov.

It’s been a great year for our junior team with three pieces of silverware to their name for 2013.  A huge congratulations to all involved.

The Juniors had another good day on Sunday last beating Blessington in the Hennessy Cup (West Winter League) by 12pts to 1-6

Senior Team

Congratulations to our Senior Team who have secured a place in the top 8 of the Division 1 League for 2014.Again congratulations to all involved.

Social & Presentation Night
The 2013 end of season Social and Presentation Night will take place in the GAA Centre on Friday 6th December. Tickets on sale from Club members.

Flag Day Collection
A big thanks to all who supported our Annual Flag Day on 9th and 10th November last.

 

Pride of Place

Congratulations to our Pride of Place Committee who were awarded  ‘Runner up’ in our Category at the ‘All Ireland’ presentations in Derry at the weekend. Again well done to all involved.  They go on to represent our village at the ‘LivCom’ International Awards in 2014.

 

Tidy Towns

In the coming weeks the Committee will be planting more ‘spring flowering bulbs’ and would appreciate any donations of bulbs which can be dropped into the box provided at the back of the Church.

 

Remembrance Mass

A Remembrance Mass for deceased relatives and friends of all Hollywood people will take place on Tuesday 26th November. Memorial candles for the mass are on sale in the Parish Office for €2 each.

 

Santa Claus

Santa will be visiting Hollywood School Hall on Saturday 7th December. The Annual Parish Christmas Raffle will be held on the same night, the proceeds of which will go towards the painting of the Church and new works to be carried out in the graveyard. The Committee would be very grateful for any donations for the Hamper. If you have a donation please contact Sandra Tutty on  087 3142076.

 

Ballet

Ballet classes for children every Monday  from 3.15 – 6.15pm in the Hollywood Centre.

 

Friendship Club

The Friendship Club takes place every Wednesday from 2.15 – 4.15pm in the Hollywood Centre. All most welcome for a game of cards, bingo, a chat and a cuppa.

 

No Name Club

The No Name Club for 15 – 18 year olds takes place every Wednesday in the Hollywood Centre from 8 – 9.30pm. New members very welcome. Due to an increase in members the club is looking for adult leaders to help. Please contact the Hollywood Centre if interested.

 

Hip Hop

Hip Hop class in the Hollywood Centre from 4 – 6pm every Friday. All welcome.

 

Karate

Karate class every Friday from 6 – 8pm in the Hollywood Centre. All welcome.

 

Bowls

Bowls takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Tuesday and Friday from 8 – 10pm. All welcome.

 

Traditional Music

Classes take place in the Hollywood Centre from 10.30am – 12.30pm every Saturday morning.

 

Parish Office

The Parish Office is open from 9.30am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
