Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Seamus Gortland, Tomacork View who died last week.

To the family and relatives of Irene Green, Tomacork who died during the week and was buried on Friday in All Saints cemetery.

The craft classes will resume on this Wednesday 15th January at 1.30 – 3.30 in Colaiste Bhride and 7 – 9pm in the VEC Centre Main Street, Carnew beside Pauline O’Toole solicitor’s new members are welcome contact Eileen on 0862584616.

PRIDE IN CARNEW LOTTO
Winners of the Pride in Carnew lotto were 25th December Hillary Harris, 1st January Michief Makers Association, 8th January Lorna Doran. Tickets only €2 from any of the local businesses.

GAA YEAR BOOK
Carnew GAA year book is now on sale in Victor Young’s Main Street, Carnew.

MODEL EXHIBITION
The annual model exhibition will be held on Sunday 9th February in Colaiste Bhride Carnew and this year the proceeds will go towards Forogie contact any of the committee to enter.

CARNEW DAY CENTRE COURSE
A course in Mindfulness will take place in the Day Centre Carnew starting in January on Mondays from 2 – 4pm, cost is €5 per session prebooking is essential by phoning 0539426510.

PARENTS COUNCIL
Scoil Aodan Naofa Parents Council wish to thank the children, parents and D.J. Pat for the great night had at their Christmas disco . Thanks to Mick Kelly for supplying the shop, all who sold and bought raffle tickets. Thanks to the local businesses for their kind donations for the raffle. SCOIL AODAN NAOFA CARNEW
Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew is now accepting enrolments for its junior infants class for the school year 2014/15, Children should be four years of age before the 1st May in order to apply. Please contact the school office in person or by phoning on 0539426315 for an application form.

Walks

On Sunday January 19 the walk is on Kaideen, meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.30. On Sunday January 26 the walk will be in Rathdrum, meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.30. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Full walking schedule for the next two months will appear shortly on the Tinahely.ie website.
