St Patrick’s Day Parade
We encourage all AGB supporters, players, mentors, from across all age-groups, to take part in our parade entry this year.  We are meeting at the shop in Fernhill at 2.15pm but anyone who isn’t in a position to walk the full route can meet the group in Castlepark at 2.30pm and they will join the float via Laffins lane. We are hoping that everyone will make an effort to wear club gear or AGB colours. There will be face-painting (in Castlepark), music and Scór performers on the day. If anyone has any questions, please call Kathryn on 086 8664931.

Matches Played
Mark Murphy, Daire McBride & Paudie Kelleher represented AGB on the Wicklow U21 panel which lost recently to Laois by a point in the first round of the Leinster Championship. Daire also played for Wicklow schools in their Leinster Colleges A quarter final defeat to Marist College, Athlone. Hard Luck Lads but we’re all proud of the effort ye put in representing AGB and Wicklow.

The Senior Men’s team lost to Blessington in the opening round of their Division 2 campaign. Despite being short of several players due to injury and work commitments, the lads battled hard but were unable to secure the spoils against a well drilled Blessington team who had more training work done at this stage of the season. Best for AGB were Neil Reilly, Stephen Hurley and Cormac Hyland.

Neither of the Ladies League matches went ahead at the weekend gone. The Division 1 Ladies didn’t play as opposition were unable to field a team. The Division 2 Ladies will play their game v Baltinglass during the week. Details will be posted on the website.

Wicklow men suffered a nine point defeat in Aughrim on Sunday the 9th of March in Div4 of the NFL. Only a point down at half time, Leitrim punished Wicklow after a penalty attempt rebounded and pulled away with a goal later in the game. Final score Wicklow 0-11 Leitrim 1-17.
