AGB I v AGB II in Cup Tie

AGB 1:  5-6

AGB 2:  2-6

AGB ladies were out in force on Sunday March 2nd as the junior and senior ladies faced each other in the Cup competition. The seniors were without stalwarts Ailbhe Carney, Linda Dempsey, Steph Martin and Áine O’Reilly due to county commitments and injury.14-03-02-(64)-[rcd]

Thankfully with no other injury worries, there were plenty to fill the spots and a very enjoyable and sporting game ensued. John Bermingham was not called upon to settle any disputes as he oversaw proceedings in Pearse Park. The only downside was the weather as it rained incessantly throughout but this did not deter the ladies and the hardy supporters that came along.

There were strong displays from both sides and it was great to see the U15s Rebecca Hayden, Emily Mitchell, Aoife Murphy and Ellie Jones stepping up to the mark in their first year at U16! Vicky O’Brien, Aoife O’Reilly, Róisín O’Reilly and Doirrean O’Reilly also shone for AGB II.

Keelin Riley, Katie Larkin, Suzanne Tyrrell and Kirsty McCabe were in top form for AGB I. As expected AGB 1 won out on the day on a score line of 5-6 to 2-6.
