A free “Making Good Governance Easier” workshop will take place in Bray next month.
Bray Area Partnership is hosting the event with Ivan Cooper, Director of Advocacy at The Wheel. The workshop takes place in Bray from 9.30am to 1pm on Tuesday 8th April.
It is open to community and voluntary groups, clubs and associations working in the Bray area and would be ideal for board and committee members or managers.
The workshop will give groups a solid grounding in the key principles of good governance in an accessible and enjoyable format. It will also cover the new Governance Code and how groups can comply.
Local TD Simon Harris has encouraged voluntary groups to avail of the workshop.
“In my capacity as a member of the Dáil Public Accounts Committee, I have seen how lack of compliance with best-practice in good governance can have devastating effects on an organisation. The training workshop will allow our fantastic voluntary groups in Bray to benefit from an expert’s knowledge in this field.
“I would highly recommend for as many organisations in Bray to sign up to the workshop and I congratulate Bray Area Partnership for taking the initiative to organise such an important event for the voluntary groups of Bray.”
