ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE APPLICATIONS CONTINUE

This is the last week for parade applications !!

Come and join this superb annual event in our town.

ALZPALS is a Volunteer Befriending Service and is now seeking volunteers.

LA TOUCHE WINES ADVANCED WINE COURSE STARTS SOON

This advanced course is designed for people who have already done the wine course.

Or for people who have some wine knowledge and would like to learn a bit more.

Course will include the classic wine making areas in the world.

There will be wine tasting each night.

 

Course will start on Monday,  31 March for four Mondays,  excluding Easter Monday.

Course will finish on Thursday,  1 May.

Location is La Touche Wines,  7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Paul Coleman WSET DIP,  who has vast knowledge of wine,  will be the tutor.

 

Places limited to 16 places;  cost is €220,  paid in advance.

Greystones Cancer Support will host its usual Coffee Morning.

CAROLINE FOUNDATION LONGEST RIBBON AWARENESS CHAIN CHALLENGE

The Caroline Foundation is organising a world record fundraising event for 11 May.

A five mile ribbon chain will be formed from Bray to Greystones.

Route will follow Bray seafront over Bray Head via Cliff Walk to Greystones seafront.

This will be a Guinness World Record Challenge.

 

4,000 people will be needed to line the route.

100 groups of people,  with 40 people in each group,  will create the ribbon chain.

Each ribbon holder will be asked to contribute €10.

What is The Caroline Foundation ??

The Caroline Foundation was established in memory of Caroline Dwyer Hickey.

Caroline passed away in 2013,  aged 35,  after a nine year battle with cancer.

Caroline grew up in Greystones and her family lives here.

They formed the Caroline Foundation to help the Cancer Clinical Research Trust.

The Ribbon Chair will help CCRT + Bray Cancer Support + Greystones Cancer Support.

 

What can you do ??

People are needed to help create the ribbon chain and to line the route on the day.

All the people will be divided into groups called cells.

Will you be a cell leader ??  Ask people to join your cell !!

Or … give your name to Helen and she will put you into a cell !!
