Merryn meets Roy

Merryn Lacy, a four-year-old from Bray who has stage four Neuroblastoma cancer, met her footballing heroes today in Dublin.

Today she was out in Malahide to meet the Irish soccer squad as they prepared to play Serbia tomorrow night.

Merryn is currently undergoing treatment for her illness in Crumlin Children’s Hospital and has just finished her 12th round of chemotherapy.

Irish assistant coach Roy Keane posed for a picture with Merryn and the soft side of Keane shines through in the images.
