Tinahely Community Projects donate €1000 to hospice care

Tinahely Community Projects made their annual donation of €1,000 to the South Wicklow Hospice Home Care (SWHHC) on Friday, February 28 at the Riverside Business Centre in Tinahely.

Jim Lancaster accepted the cheque on behalf of SWHHC from Councillor Vincent Blake.

The important work of the Hospice Home Care team was underlined at the presentation and all expressed their appreciation of SWHHC within the community, during the most difficult of times.

Tinahely Community Projects is a voluntary community group that works to develop and build on the amenities of the area for the benefit of locals and visitors.

These include the Recycling Centre, The Railway Walks and new extension, a brand new looped walk called the Tinahely Loop and three other looped walks in the area – Kyle, Ballycumber and Mangans; the Tidy Towns, a new interpretive sign on the square, the new picnic area leading into the village and a new children’s playground, skate area, multi-use games area and outdoor gym.
