Funding of €42,000 has been approved to carry out resurfacing and drainage works on the Vevay Road in Bray, according to Councillor David Grant.
“The condition of the roadway in this part of Bray has been deteriorating for some time,” Cllr Grant said.
“A number of road work projects and the laying of services have result in the roadway being damaged. The surface at certain points on the road is very dangerous for road users and in its present state is a hazard.
“Many local residents and in particular cyclists have been in contact with me over the past number of months about trying to get some funding to carry out a resurfacing job. Confirmation that the Council now has some financial resources to carry out the works is welcome and I look forward to the works being complete in the weeks ahead.”
