Brittas Bay caravan park sells for €4 million

Jack’s Hole Beach Resort in Brittas Bay, has been sold to a group of Dublin-based investors for more than €4 million – a long way ahead of the €2.25 million guide price.

Willie Norse of CBRE handled the sale of the property which first attracted 10 offers and five in the second round of bidding.

The park is 4.86 hectares (12 acres) and includes a private beach, 71 mobile home stands, two tennis courts, a games room, children’s play areas, a boast slip, boat moorings and facilities for water sports.

The park has been continually upgraded since it opened almost 20 years ago and has only one vacant mobile home stand out of the 71 designated sites next to the beach.

The annual rent for a mobile home up to now has been €8,000. The overall rental income is understood to be in excess of €400,000.

Jack’s Hole is about 40 minutes’ drive from Dublin. The park adjoins Malachy Stone’s Ballincarrig Holiday Park, which is considerably larger and includes a nine-hole golf course.
