Arts Festival Meeting
A meeting to organise Festival 2014 will take place in Rathsallagh Golf Club on May 17th at 3pm. Anyone interested in helping out with this year’s festival is invited to attend. The 32nd festival will take place June 20th to 22nd inclusive.
Freidrich’s Ataxia Fundraiser
Over €3,000 was raised last Sunday in Donard at the Freidrich’s Ataxia Walk / Ride Out. Over 150 participants took part in the fun day of walking and leisure riding across the Wicklow Hills. The cross country race winners were 1st Bronagh Ryan, 2nd Robert Ryan and 3rd Miriam Clarke. The winners of the team event were Aoife Grace, Emma Toomey, Cora and Thomas Roche, 2nd Billy and Jimmy Kelly, Katelyn and Catherine Thompkins. The raffle winners were Clifford Fenton, Mark Doyle, Peter Hayden, Phillip Pearce, Jimmy Kelly, Maeve O’ Brien, George Barrett and Robert Ryan. Dr. Mary Kearney thanked all the participants, sponsors and helpers for their hard work and support.

Donard/Glen Camogie Club
Our Camogie club has been chosen by the Camogie Association to participate in the
‘You & Me Play Camogie’ Initiative.
This is a 6 week programme where parents/guardians learn the skills of the game of camogie and keep active themselves.
You are invited to participate in this programme. There will also be a nutritional talk on healthy eating for sports participation provided as part of the programme for both the players and the parents involved in the programme.

Free online language learning at Dunlavin Library.
Wicklow County Libraries is introducing online language learning for library users. You can learn to listen, speak, read and write a new language in your library or from home. Unlimited access to courses in over 8o languages, including English for beginners or intermediate is facilitated. Also featured is ‘learning on the go’ with BYKI Mobile, which is a rapid instructional system that can be downloaded to mobile devices.
If you’re not already a library member and want to avail of this new resource, drop in and join the library, it’s free to join, and we just need proof of address and current ID.

Bingo takes place in the Imaal Hall every Saturday night at 9pm.Jackpot waiting to be won now stands at €1600. The funds raised by the Bingo goes towards the upkeep of the Imaal Hall and well worth supporting.
