Motorists in Wicklow town are calling on the council to cut grass at dangerous junctions during the summer months, a motorist contacted Wicklownews.net after a near miss with a car on Tuesday.

The junction at Ballynerrin upper road which joins on to the Marlton road is one of the busiest junctions in the town and leads motorists to three schools and a creche.

A resident from Grahams court said they had contacted the council last week and it was on the list to be cut but as of yet nothing has been done, when joining the Main road it is impossible to see what is coming up the Marlton road from the town direction, it is only a matter of time until there is an accident he added.
