Following their 22 medals at last year’s All Ireland Championships and the success in last May’s Celtic Challenge, crews from Arklow Rowing Club have taken that winning mentality into the 2014 East Coast Regatta season by taking wins in the first three races of the regatta season.

Following the cancellation of the Arklow Regatta, due to bad weather, the Arklow club took first place in the Junior Ladies, Senior Ladies and Novice Mens at the Dalkey Regatta, first place in the Junior Ladies, Intermediate Mens at the Stella Maris Regatta and a first place in the Intermediate Mens at the St Patricks Regatta with both the Stella Maris and St Patricks Regattas being held on the River Liffey.

In total, over the first three Regattas of the season, the Arklow Rowing Club crews have taken 100 medals (in their respective categories) including six wins, five second places and nine third places. We wish them well for the rest of the season.
