AVOCA TIDY TOWNS

Thanks to Councillor Miriam Murphy for her kind donation to our new lawn mower appeal we are very grateful for the support.

Judging is currently under way for the Best garden competition, hanging basket & window box.

Judging is also under way for the National Tidy towns Awards and we are delighted to see the village looking so well, all of the bedding in the public areas have been kindly donated by Shelton Abbey Open Prison and we extremely grateful for all their support. Avoca is also entered into the Wicklow Co Co best main street category of their local authority competition and this year with the completion of the Red Kite Walk we were eligible to enter into the nature category. If you would like to support our efforts to purchase a new lawn mower donation boxes are in the shops locally. Thanks to our CE workers who have being working really  hard this year painting, sweeping and weeding, the efforts are noted and appreciated by everyone in the community.
