Nearly six months after it was announced he would be joining Ulster Rugby, Arklow man, Ruaidhri Murphy, joined up with his new team-mates last week.
The loosehead prop arrived in Belfast after spending two years with the Brumbies and was excited about the latest chapter in his career.
“I have been counting the days until I could get here, I am looking forward to getting stuck in and to meeting everyone.”
After being shown around the Stadium, the Arklow man said that he was impressed with the set-up at the club and was looking forward to the challenges ahead.
Murphy will arrive at the club match fit, having just finished his season down-under and he believes that will be an advantage.
“To not have a pre season is going to be great for the body. Coming off a season into a new one just means I’m in good shape to play and hopefully that will benefit the Province.”
