Avoca Active Retirement

Metal Collection

The Scrap Metal Collection which takes place at Avoca Recycling Bank is in aid of The Conary Pure Mile. 

Support would be very Welcome. All the following items are welcome: Bicycles, Gates, Galvinised sheeting, Meta, Girders, Barbeques, Any metal items, Radiators, Pots and Pans, Back boilers, pipes, swings, scrap cars, tractor parts etc.

Conary Community Arts

The Casper Organisation Present a talk on understanding and preventing Suicide and self harm on Thursday August 28th   7.30pm in the Conary Community Hall .

Avoca Courthouse heritage Centre 

A selection of old photographs are now on display in the old courthouse heritage centre also some genealogy records. Thanks to everyone who donated artefacts & photographs for the centre. Drop in and take a look around and take a trip back in time as you view some old photographs of the area.

Harvest Thanksgiving Service 2014

The Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service for Conary Parish, will be held on Sunday the 7th of September at 7.30pm in Saint Bartholomew’s Church Conary.
The  Preacher will be the Archdeacon David Pierpoint Archdeacon of Dublin. All are Welcome.



Notes for inclusion in the Avoca Notes should be with the courthouse by 9.30am on Mondays. Bank Holiday week end notes should be received in the Courthouse Heritage Centre by 4.30pm on the Friday prior to the date for inclusion.  Notes can be emailed to [email protected] or left in our letter box –  notes cannot be accepted by phone.
