Aughrim GAA club congratulate club referee John Keenan who has been appointed standby referee and will be linesman for the All-Ireland Minor hurling final between Kilkenny and Limerick.

John is the first Aughrim man since Eamon Moules to be involved in All-Ireland day.
Aughrim’s Intermediate team played Avondale in the Division 2 league last weekend. They fell behind early in the game and although they rallied back hard and won the second half the gap was just too big to bridge. That will be the last game until the championship semi-final against Donard/the Glen which is scheduled to be on Saturday September 13th in the County Grounds Aughrim. Keep an eye on the official fixtures page for confirmation of times.

Juvenile GAA

The Aughrim U12’s continued their winning ways last week. First up were the footballers on Monday August 25th, they had a comprehensive win over neighbours Annacurra on a score line of 9-14 to 1-2.

Then it was the U12 hurlers turn on Friday  August 29th who also had a comprehensive win over Tinahely on a score of 5-12 to 2-1.
