Fatal house fire in Bray being treated as ‘suspicious’

Gardai in Bray are investigating a suspicious fire at a house at Oldcourt Avenue, Bray.

Gardai, Ambulance and fire services were called to the scene at around 4.30am, the house was in a blaze and fire services managed to contain the flames to prevent the fire from spreading to ajoining houses.

“A man (55yrs) was taken from the house by the Fire Brigade, CPR was administered however he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body remains at the scene. A male (20s) was in the house but was not injured.”

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified
