Witches and wizards from across the world are polishing their broomsticks in advance of the big departure for Wicklow’s Historic Gaol this week.
Once again, a spooktacular line-up of spookifying events for adults, teenagers and indeed young witches and wizards will run right up until the 2nd of November.
The excitement kicks off with an eerie family night tour this Friday night (24th October) from 7pm. This weekend sees spooky spider searches and scary monster facepainting.
Mid-term break brings non-stop Halloween events for all the family every day of the week including Terrifying Touch, fancy dress, haunted tours and creepy colouring competitions. Older teenagers can have the wits scared out of them as part of Teenage Terror Night on Thursday 30th October.
The Haunted Steam Train will depart Connolly station for Wicklow Gaol on Sunday 2nd of November. Locals in Wicklow can take the Haunted Express from Wicklow Town to Greystones return on the same day. (See www.steamtrainsireland.com to book)
Adults can enjoy a glass of wine before being subjected to night terrors on Friday 31st for an evening ghost tour from 7pm.
