Coffee Morning

It’s almost that time of year again, Halloween! So make a note of the date…Friday 31st Octoberthat’s when the Halloween Coffee Morning is taking place in Tinahely and you can be part of it by joining us in the Courthouse Arts Centre 10 a.m – 1pm. Proceeds to the upgrading of the Courthouse sound equipment.

Come and  join us for a cuppa, chat and home-made cake. Everyone is welcome!

VINTAGE RUN

Crablane Vintage Club 4th Annual Vintage run, starting from Byrne’s Crablane on Sunday 26th of October at 12 noon.  Registration is by donation on the day.  We would be grateful for your support.
HOPE CANCER SOCIETY

The Hope Cancer Support Centre invites you to an evening with broadcaster Christy Kenneally who will speak about ‘Life After Loss’ in the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross on Thursday 16th October at 8pm. Admission free.

TINAHLEY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday Oct 19 the walk is at Kyle, Tinahely (grade B, 12km/4 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.00am. On Sunday Oct 26 the walk is Croghan Mountain (grade B, 15km/4 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. BINGO

A bingo will be held on this Sunday 19th October at 3pm in aid of James and Anne Maries Strictly Come Dancing fund, childrens books also on sale, great fun for all the family, all welcome.

Next draw was 13th October in The Lodge, the jackpot is €6,600, tickets only €2 from any local shop or player.

HALLOWEEN FANCY DRESS PARTY

A Halloweeen fancy dress party will be held in Parkview House Shillelagh on 24th October at 9pm with music by Fleming’s Disco, prize for best dressed with door prize admission adults €5 children free in aid of christmas tree and lights.

CARD DRIVES

The 45 card drives continue in Askamore on Monday nights all card players welcome.

The winner of the card drive in aid of Anna and Alan’s Strictly Come Dancing Fund were  David Carton and Emma Murphy. Many thanks to everyone for their support.

IRISH HEART FOUNDATION

Many thanks to all who supported the recent collection after masses in Askamore for the Irish heart Foundation the amount raised was €282.

PUBLIC DEFB TRAINING

A public defb training night will be held on Tuesday 21st October at 7.30pm in Colaiste Bhride Carnew if you are interested in learning to do CPR and use an AED booking is essential by phoning Patricia on 0872413293.

OVER 60’S NIGHT

An over 60’s night will be held in Kenny’s Corner House on this Friday 17th October at 9pm fancy dress optional admission only €5 in aid of John and Erica’s Strictly Come Dancing Fund all welcome.

IRISH NIGHT

An Irish Night will be held on this Saturday 18th at 9pm in Kennys all musicans and everyone welcome to come along.

FASHION SHOW

A vintage fashion show will be held on this Thursday 16th Ocotber at 8pm in McCrea’s bar Carnew with clothes worn only once with shoes, handbags and accessories all for sale on the night. Demonstration of upstyle hair for special occassions and treading will be shown from the Grooming Rooms and professional make up and nails from the Glamour Box, admission only €5 all welcome.

KILRUSH DRAMA

Kilrush drama groups 3 one act palys continue in Ballyroebuck Hall until 18th October booking is essential on 0871329325  after 5pm.

CARNEW TDC
