Three paintings by some of Ireland’s best known artists were stolen from a house in Donard last week.
Three valuable paintings by Sir John Lavery, Paul Henry and Jack B Yeats were stolen in a burglary, which happened at a house in Donard last Wednesday.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for the public’s help in relation to the stolen paintings entitled Portrait of a Lady by Sir John Lavery, Landscape with Cottage by Paul Henry and The Fern in the Area by Jack B Yeats
The paintings have a significant value, with the artists all having paintings in the Irish collection held at the National Gallery of Ireland.
The scene of the burglary was preserved and a technical examination was completed, said the gardaí, who added that their investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests to date.
