Christmas cheer and excitement is building at Aughrim Town & Country Market in the Pavilion on Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Enjoy the atmosphere by the cosy fireside, meet friends for tasty nibbles and delicious goodies prepared by Annie at Cafe cois Tine. Bowls Club
The members of Aughrim Bowls club extend their sympathy to our colleagues Helen Herriott on the recent death of her brother Michael and to Francis Cullen on the death of his aunt Mrs. Parle.  R.I.P.

Active Retirement
The bus for Kildare Village/Newbridge will depart from the Pavilion at 9.30am sharp on Thursday, November 27th. The December meeting will be on Tuesday,  December 2nd – our entertainment will be provided by Philip Byrne, Storyteller. Our envelope collection this year will go to MS Ireland – please be as generous as you can!  Our Christmas Party will take place on Thursday, December 11th at Brooklodge.

Have you made your booking? If so, please have your 25 Euro in an envelope for Kay on December 2nd. As last year we will have a Kris Kindle – limit 5 Euro.  We are always happy to welcome new members, so why not come along to a Monday Coffee Morning in the Pavilion at 10.30am  Tai Chi classes will continue for another 4 weeks in the Pavilion on Tuesdays at 11am.  For further information on any of the above phone Margaret at 0402-36660 or Anne at 0402-36944.
Athletics Club
 The AGM for Aughrim Athletics Club will take place on Thursday December 4th at 8.00 p.m. in the Aughrim Sports Complex.  We invite all parents and coaches to attend and help to shape the future of our community’s club.

 

New to You
New to you thrift shop is open TuesdaySaturday at the Pavilion, Rednagh Road. There are lots of bargains in fashionable clothes, bric-a-brac, items of furniture, toys and books.  Paper bags and carrier bags are needed, so if you have any paper bags or carrier bags at home can we please have them; just drop them into the shop to us.

Lotto
The numbers 2, 4, 20 and 21 were drawn in the Aughrim sports club lotto on Monday November 17th.  There were no match three winners or jackpot winner. The jackpot is €3900.

Community Games
The Santa Fun Run/Walk will take place next Sunday 30th with registration at 11.30am. This is been run with the Aughrim Athletics club. It is a great family run event and we hope has many as possible from around the county will support us and get into the spirit of Christmas. Wear your Santa hats and with the entrance price Santa Hats are available too. There will be refreshments available too after the race. We just hope for a nice crisp Winter’s day.
