Wicklow Weather and MET Eireann have issued a Orange Weather alert for Thursday and Friday.
for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Monaghan.
Wicklow Weather predict rolling rainfall accumulations through to Friday will peak at 50mm (Munster) to 70mm (Leinster/Ulster) which will lead to localised flooding on Thursday and possible Friday with areas of mid to east Munster, Leinster and east Ulster at risk with a lower risk for east Connacht.
Some of the heaviest bands of rainfall on Thursday could coincide with morning commutes in Munster and through to Leinster by Lunchtime/afternoon on Thursday.
If your home or property has road frontage that is prone to flooding it might be an idea to clear out leaf debris from drains etc as strong winds and heavy rain will bring down large amounts of leaves compounding any spot flooding or surface water threat.
Winds will reach gale force on all coasts on Thursday with some gusts of 100kmh+.
