The first responder in Hollywood is a voluntary organisation and has been active for approximately nine years.  The purpose of the group is to provide early access of a defibrillator to a patient while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

Unfortunately it is no longer sustainable to continue to be on call in Hollywood.  This is due to changes in protocols and unavailability of volunteers due to work and family commitments and for health reasons. A defibrillator will be located at the entrance to the community centre and in GAA clubhouse for public access should the need arise. Information sessions will be held for community groups re use of defibrillator.  The group will continue to train regularly and members of the public are welcome to attend.  Details about the information sessions and the training will be announced in the news sheet.

If you have any queries or concerns please drop a note into the community centre for the attention of First Responders.
