Hello my name is Brogan Ni Dhuill. I am ten years old. I live in Redcross, Co. Wicklow. My story begins in 2010 when my brother Maxwas diagnosed with a brain tumour.
After Max’s medicine and while he was still in hospital we learned about Barretstown from DVDs left in the hospital.
Max and I watched the DVDs and Barretstown looked a brilliant place.
After that a special nurse booked our whole family in for a special weekend.
Barretstown is a brilliant place where you don’t have to worry about being sick and you can have lots of fun. This year I’m going to dye my hair to raise funds for Barretstown so lots of other
children can experience this magical place.
I will dye my hair BLUE on Thursday 26th. Feb.
life was not always easy for the Doyle’s. in 2010 Max was a toddler and was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He went through a tough course of treatment at Temple Street and Crumlin, and the family are very thankful for the care given by the staff at the hospitals, they do realise a hospital can only focus on mending your body, as it takes a very special place like Barretstown to mend your spirit.
Barretstown – Rebuilding Lives after Childhood Cancer.
Brogan all by herself decided she would like to take part an help raise money to allow other kids and families to go to this magical place.
Max is fully recovered and will be making his first communion in May of this year.
Brógan will feature on East Coast FM’s morning show just after 11.30pm on Tuesday morning.
