TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
On Sunday Feb 15 the walk is the Mullinacor loop near Glenmalure (Grade B, 14km, 3.5 hours) meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.00am. On Sunday Feb 22 the walk is at Mullens, Tinahely (Grade B, 12km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely Square at 11.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. (Walk grades: A is the hardest and C is the easiest – depends on gradient and duration.) Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Margaret Joyce (nee Gortland) Tombrean who died during the week, her remains were removed to Carnew church on Thursday for 1pm mass and burial took place in Tomacork cemetery.
To the family and relatives of Martin Breen, Kiltilahane who died during the week, his remains were removed to Askamore on Friday evening and burial took place on Saturday after 12 noon mass.

The u14 football feile is being hosted by Counties Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow this year, therefore fundraising has commenced with vigor in Carnew, boys and girls juvenile teams are organising some fundraising events starting with a sponsored walk on 8th March in Tomnafinogue woods, also a trailer load of sticks are being raffled over the next few weeks, your support and generosity would be greatly appreciated.
Tickets are now on sale for the boxing night on 27th February in Gorey against Tinahely, they can be purchased from any boxer or in Victor Young’s Main Street.
