Arklow Bay Hotel main sponsor for Castletown GAA

Willie Hudson of the Arklow Bay Hotel presents Danny Gardiner, Gabriel Maxwell, Joe O'Shaughnessey and Colm Morris of Castletown GAA club with a new set of jerseys at the clubs annual dinner dance in the Arklow Bay Hotel

New Main Sponsor Welcomed.
The club is delighted to welcome the Arklow Bay Hotel on board as the Main Sponsor for the Senior Football and Hurling Club.  The official launch took place at the Dinner Dance where William Hudson of the Arklow Bay Hotel handed over the new set of jerseys to Colm Morris representing the Senior Fooball and Danny Gardiner representing the Senior Hurlers.  We look forward to a successful partnership with the Arklow Bay Hotel.

On Saturday night 14th March, the place to be was the Arklow Bay Hotel with over two hundred people in attendance to honour and remember the past  heroes from the club in the form of the 1964 Liam Mellows Wexford Junior Champions and the 1965 Wexford Senior Football Champions.  Many of these players travelled from far and wide to join in the celebrations and meet up with their fellow players. The club presented a book of memorabilia from that era to each player, the hurlers were presented by the captain of 1964 Oliver Cullen.  Ciara Goland, one of Castletown’s own ladies footballers, Co Wexford County player and All Ireland winner presented to the footballers of 1965.

The Ladies Football players who won Minor County Final, Junior Championship County Final and Junior League County Final last year were presented with their county medals and were acknowledged for their outstanding achievements to date. Hayley Murphy received a presentation for Minor Player of the Year an Dawn Bergan for Senior Player of the Year.  The club also made a presentation to Patsy Murray for his dedicated service to Coolgreany handball and to Mick Murray for his contribution to Liam Mellows Hurling over the years.
