Aughrim Business Association

Aughrim Business Association is currently making plans for this year’s St Patrick day parade and has been contacting people who have been supporting the parade since it was rejuvenated a few years ago. The organising committee are hopeful that 2015 will again see an increase in the number of Floats, Marching Groups and Associations taking part and to this end they are appealing to any one that has not been involved before to do so this year. Registration is necessary so that the committee can plan the layout and format the parade will take and participants can do this by getting their registration form from Neil in Aughrim Pharmacy 0867334751 and Ari at Van der Wel Garden Centre 0879202751 or any committee member. As in other years the Parade takes place immediately after 10.30 Mass.

MARKET

There was great activity at the market on Saturday last, as family and friends gathered to bid bon voyage to Annie O’Loughlin, who managed Cafe Cois Tine for the past few years. Annie was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers by Caroline Dillon on behalf of the Tidy Towns Committee and Caroline’s touching words showed how much Annie was loved and appreciated by all.  Your local market continues every Saturday from 10-2pm where you will find a wide range of local produce and beautifully hand-crafted gifts. Do drop in to meet Keith and Dylan from The Grainstore who are taking over in Cafe Cois Tine next Saturday. They look forward to meeting you all so do drop in and see what tasty treats they have in store!
