Well done to Ciara and Jade Shannon today at the Talent competition. Jade came fourth in her Solo U-13 Music and Ciara came First in her Solo U-16 Dance and she now goes on to Athlone to represent County Wicklow in the National Community Games Festival in August. Girls you were fantastic.!

Athletics are back next Monday May 11th after a break on the bank holiday. We are practising hard now for the County Wicklow Athletic Track and Field Finals in Shillelagh on Saturday June 13th. It’s important all children attend every Monday so we can go through relay teams and learn to do baton changes correctly. There will also be trials for the hurdle races for U-10 and U-14 on Monday May 11th so we would ask any boys and girls that are u-10 and u-14 to arrive at 6.30pm to begin the trials at 6.45pm with Majella and Caoimhe..

Camogie
On Friday May 1st Aughrim Camogie U12 played their second blitz, thanks to our hosts Arklow Rocks. A great result for Aughrim U12 girls on Friday night.

We travelled to Arklow, the first match against our hosts saw a strong start to the season, the Aughrim girls came out on top with 3 goals, Aughrim 3-0 to Arklow 0-0. The second match was a draw against the Carnew challenge, a strong defence from both sides saw no score, Aughrim 0-0 to Carnew 0-0.

A victory over Knockananna with a last minute shot over the bar by Casey Byrne saw the only score of the final match. Aughrim winning 0-1 to Knockananna 0-0. Well done girls you all played very well in all three matches.
