SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Mrs Byrne, Coolboy who died during the weekend, her remains were removed to Coolfancy for mass and burial on Tuesday.

 

To the family and relatives of Finn Doyle, Coolkenno who died during the week and was buried on Sunday.

 

TINAHELY SHOW
A general meeting of Tinahely show will be held in the show office on Monday 25th May at 8pm, all are welcome.

 

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
The walk on Sunday 24th is Croghan, grade B 10km 3 hours, meet at Tinahely Square at 10.30am or Phelans Gap pub at 10.45am, On 31st May walk is Ballycumber Grade C 10km 3 hours, meet Tinahely Square at 10am. Please make sure and wear proper walking boots, bring adequate food and drink, and bring or wear rain gear. Walks Grade A  is the hardest and C the easiest, depends on gradient and duration, all walks are on the Tinahely website.

 

CARNEW  COMMUNITY CARE
A plant sale will take place on Wednesday 20th May at 3.45pm, bring a plant on the day, garden ornaments, vases, flowers, flowerpots and bedding plants accepted for the sale on the day also, all are welcome to come along.

 

SONGS OF PRAISE
There will be a Songs of Praise Service  in All Saints Church Carnew on Sunday 31st May at 7pm, all are welcome to come and join in singing popular hymns.  A retiring collection will be in aid of the Bishops Appeal for the Nepal Earthquake Fund. Refreshments will be served in Colasite Bhride after the service.

COFFEE MORNING
Jim and Anne Gilbert Askamore are holding a coffee morning on Tuesday 26th May from 9 – 3pm to help bring Dennis home from Chernobyl for the summer, many thanks to everyone for their support in the past as Dennis has been coming to Askamore for five years.

 

ROAD RUN
Many thanks to everyone for their support for the Carnew Heritage Club Road run on Sunday last for Carnew Community Care, your support was greatly appreciated. Many thanks to all who helped in anyway, before hand, on the day and afterwards, to all who helped in the kitchen, made sandwiches and cakes, your support is greatly appreciated.

 

ART GROUP EXHIBITION
An exhibition of Art by Carnew Community Work shop will take place in Carnew Centre on Monday 25th May to Thursday 28th May from 9 am to 5pm daily. The official opening of the Exhibition will take place on Saturday 23rd May at 8pm. All welcome.

 

BINGO
The next bingo will take place on Saturday 6th June at 8.15pm in St Brigid’s Hall, Carnew, all proceeds towards the hall refurbishment. Your support is greatly appreciated
