The Arklow Seabreeze festival went out with a bang on Sunday night as the week ended with a firework display.
What had been a turbulent week for the organisers, the week-end turned out to by one of the most successful in the 24 years of running the event.
Chairman of the festival Colm Moules said “It was a great week-end with all local talent taking part, everything was free and the whole thing was family orientated. During these testing times we are delighted with the way the week-end went but it would not have been possible only for the traders, sponsors, Arklow Municipal Council and Wicklow County Council.”
The pig race which had been in doubt earlier in the week went ahead.
