Under 12 Football
Carnew 3-10 Coolkenno 4-13

Carnew under twelve football team travelled to near neighbours, Coolkenno Sports Complex, to take part in their juvenile sports day. Weather conditions were perfect for a good game of football and fair play to both teams. A good starting game ensued. In the first half Coolkenno and Carnew traded score for score and the teams were very evenly matched up until the last quarter, when the Carnew lads ran out of steam and Coolkenno pushed on to win by six points. Roland Chelechwitz had some great saves for Carnew in goals, while Brandon Rossitor was clinical with his free taking. Carnew are looking forward to the next meeting with Coolkenno when they hope to turn the tables around. A big thank you to the parents and others who travelled to support the team and hopefully we will have something to celebrate together at the end of the season.
