Man airlifted to hospital following accident

A man was airlifted to hospital following an accident between a jeep and car this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene close to the Gap pub at Ballythomas hill on the Tinahely to Hollyfort road (L6024),

The man in his 30’s was taken from the scene by ambulance and transferred to Waterford hospital by the coastguard helicopter, the man’s injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

Diversions were in place but have now been lifted.
