St.Patrick’s pipe band looking for a home

Members of the band with local politicians protesting last year

St. Patricks Pipe Band, Wicklow wish to highlight the fact that they have been in the town since 1946 and still do not have a home of their own.
They have represented Wicklow town in all of the twinning towns and have entered Pipe Band competitions all over Ireland.
The Old FCA hall on the Murrough is empty and they have requested to become caretakers which will allow them to practice and display many of their trophies, but their voice seems to fall on deaf ears .
They do not charge to train young and older in the art of piping & drumming which is keeping an old tradition going. all equipment is supplied by the band which fund raise through various events.
Please do not ignore them. Give them a voice.
