The Community Games is the biggest participant sporting event in Ireland every year. The Games have played a hugely important role promoting sport and activity throughout communities since they were first established in 1967. This year about 7,100 children were in Athlone over the last two weekends to compete in events at the Athlone Institute of Technology.

Wicklow athletes and competitors were successful again and returned back to the Garden County with a haul of medals from the 2015 HSE Community Games National Festival.
