U8 Girls
The U8 girls played their final blitz of year in Newtown on Saturday the 5th of September. Great turnout and excellent team performances against Baltinglass, St. Pats and An Tochar. Lovely to see the girls putting some great play together, working hard for each other and some nice passing. Progress very much in evidence. A big well done to all the girls today!

Intermediate Men
AGB made the trip to Baltinglass, on the 1st of September, a winning one when they defeated the home side by a whopping 13 points. This was vintage football from this Arklow side that never allowed Baltinglass into this game. It was a team performance that sees the AGB side now joint second in the league. O’Connor in goal could not have been blamed for the one that went past him. The back line of Maher, O’Keeffe and Byrne gave him great support. Hyland at number 6 went poaching through the Baltinglass defence to score four points, while Kelleher and Fitzgerald gave great support. Cal Kelly and the evergreen Philip Gleeson were outstanding at midfield. In the forwards Ivan and J.P Hurley gave the Baltinglass backs a busy evening. Philip Healy as always was the poacher as he distributed the ball with maximum effect to forwards Ian Bracken Cormac O’Shea – who was the team’s top scorer with 1-5, and Darragh McBride. Final score: AGB 3-13 Baltinglass 1-10.

Scores: Cormac O’ Shea 1-5; J.P Hurley 1-4; Darragh McBride 1-1; Cormac Hyland 0-4; Ivan Hurley, Cal Kelly, Philip Healy and Darragh Fitzgerald all a point each.
