Our Senior League game against Stratford due to be played last Saturday was cancelled.  The Club would like to thank all those who supported our Race Nite in Paddy’s last Saturday night – all those who sponsored races, bought horses and attended on the night in order to make this a great fund raiser for the Club.

Under 12 Hurlers

Our under 12 hurlers were very unlucky to lose their mini festival final against Kilcoole in Ballinakill last Saturday by a single point. This is a talented group of hurlers and no doubt will bounce back from this disappointment.  Our under 14 hurlers playing with Tinahely as Luke O’Toole’s had a convincing win over Michael Dwyer’s in the ‘A’ Championship County final last Sunday in Pearses Park. This has been a remarkable year for this group of players who have remained unbeaten throughout the year culminating in their All Ireland success in Feile.

Luke O’ Toole’s

The Luke O’ Toole’s U14 team made the clean sweep on Sunday last, by adding the County U14 hurling Championship to the League title, U14 County Feile and U14 All Ireland Feile already won in the previous months. Playing Michael Dwyers from West Wicklow they were put to the pin of their collar to come out on top of this game. But goals win matches and with a hat-trick from man of the match Eoin Darcy, Dwyers could not live with Luke’s in the end. With further goals from Eoin Byrne, Matthew Ging and Adam Keegan, Dwyers had no answer. Christopher Murphy gave a man of the match performance for Dwyers scoring all 10 points for his team put their lack of penetration in front of goal was their downfall, thanks mainly to great defending from Mark Clancy, Gearoid O’ Donoghue, Oisin Dillon and Cillian McDonald . on the other end, uke o’ Tooles had numerous players to take their scores with Eoin Darcy bagging 3-06, Eoin Byrne 1-02, Adam Keegan 1.01, Matthew Ging 1.00 and John Toomey 0-02, scores were fairly evenly spread.

Congratulations to all 23 players for their efforts throughout the year. Lets hope that the lads can realise that hurling is a game of legends and if they keep up the good work that someday they can be legends in both Wicklow and further afield. A big thank you to the 5 coaches who put in enourmous work throughout the year so the lads could get their Just rewards: Rory Connolly, John Byrne, Alan Dillon, Kieran O’ Shea, Sean O’ Shea. Team: Conor Connolly, Dan Hedderman, Mark Clancy, Jack Murray, Oisin Dunne, Cillian McDonald, Gearoid O’ Donoghue, Bradley Hickey, Eoghan Byrne, John Toomey, Jake O’ Kelly, Matthew Ging, Oisin Dillon, Eoin Darcy, Adam Keegan, Dara O’ Shea, Tomas Hayden, Cathal Hayden, Jake Murphy, Sean Campbell, Darragh Owens, Diarmuid Lambert, Padraig O’ Shea
