The First responders in Blessington have been forced to remove a public access defibrillator after it was vandalised on Friday night.

The defibrillator was positioned on the wall outside the West Wicklow public house in the centre of Blessington town.

The community are asking anyone who may have information to the cowardly act to contact the gardai.

It is understood CCTV is being currently viewed in a effort to catch who carried out the attack.

The group hope to have the defibrillator back in place as soon as repairs are carried out.
