Car Boot Sale

The next Car Boot Sale will take place on Sunday 4th October.   A great opportunity to browse and pick up a bargain – antiques, second-hand, new and nearly new clothes, books, knick-knacks, crafts and so  much more.  Always great home bakes to treat yourself to.   Vans must be booked in. Car park spaces for the next month or so  will be limited so please pre-book indoor spaces early. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600.

 

National Eucharistic Congress 2015

Please note that the bus from Laragh for the National Eucharistic Congress in Knock has been cancelled due to insufficient numbers.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused. 

 

Mobile Library

The mobile library is in Laragh every second Thursday from 12 noon until 12.50pm.  The first 10 minutes are usually outside the Brockagh Centre and then the mobile library goes down outside Lynhams.  The next dates are 1st, 15th and 29th October.

 

Citizen’s Information

The Citizen’s Information Centre at the Brockagh Centre is open on 1st Tuesday of the month. The next date is Tuesday 6th October from 10am until 12 noon for information relating to your rights and entitlements.  No appointment necessary.  This is a free and confidential service.

 

Gymboree

Gymboree Play & Music Classes returns to The Brockagh Centre on Thursday mornings from 10 – 11 a.m.  Suitable for all babies, toddlers and pre-school children from 6mths – 4yrs.  Teach your child a love of music through play in a fun and friendly environment!  Places are limited so pre-booking is essential.  Please call Rachel on 086 8330212 for more info or to book your place.

 

Wicklow Man

The Wicklow Man every Tuesday night at the Brockagh Centre 10 p.m. so come along and enjoy the fun.

 

Get Yourself Online

The closing date has been extended on these courses until December so there is still an opportunity for you to take that step to build your confidence on line.  Cover the basics and learn how to email, skype, shop online, pay car tax and much more.  It cost €20 for 4 x 2 hr course and it is free to those over 65.  The classes are small and the lessons are taught in a relaxed and fun way with plenty of time for everyone. Dragon Day with Val Young
If you love dragons or would like to learn more about them (and yourself) come along to the Dragon Day with Val Young which will take place in the Brockagh Centre on Saturday 3 October (10 am to 5 pm). We will be connecting with the Dragons of Ireland and the Beings of this sacred land. We will be working with the Dragons of the different elements and assisting them in what they do for the Earth. We will also go on journeys for our own insights and growing awareness. For more information about the Dragons and the cards please see www.oneheartweb.com.  The cost of the Dragon Day is €65. You can bring your own lunch or there are places to eat close by. Light refreshments will be provided. Accommodation is also available nearby. Stress Management

Learn how to understand the types and sources of stress; short term and long term, internal and external and being able to identify your stressors, is an important part of stress management. You can’t eliminate stress but you can learn how to manage it.  Join Tanya one evening per week at the Brockagh Centre for six weeks to learn how.  Contact Tanya on 086 4033349 for  information or to register your interest.

 

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
