Bowls Club

The members of Annacurra Bowls Club extend their sympathy to our colleague Mary Carty and her Brothers and Sisters on the recent death of their sister Elizabeth Murphy,Tinahely. May she rest in Peace.

Congratulations to our Colleagues Pat and Bridget Kennedy who recently celebrated their Rugby Wedding Anniversary. Wishing you both many more years of good health and happiness. 

 

Community Games

Last Monday saw our athletics training back up and running. It was a great night with excited children. A big thank you to our returning coaches and some new volunteers too. We also had some Transition Year students helping out as they will complete part of their An Gaisce award with our club. We are back from now on at 7pm every Monday evening in the Sports Complex hall and field for all children from 4 and upwards and our adults are back training with Tara.

Our AGM takes place on Thursday 15th October at 9pm in the Sports Complex. Please come and support your club. Its good to come and see what we are about and we promise we wont give you a job.!!!   

 

Badminton

Badminton for juveniles is back for another season on Friday 23rd October at 8pm in the sports hall in Aughrim. Children ages 8 to 18 years are welcome. There are limited places available so get registered early if interested. Fees are 25 euros for over 10s and 20 euros for under 10s. there is a 3 euros per night fee also. Kare

 The 9th annual KARE road run was a huge success with over  €10,000 raised.

A sincere thank you to all you contributed to this success – all our loyal tractor and car enthusiasts who turn up to support us year after year. To our volunteers who help on the day , our sponsors , Civil defence , everyone who purchased and sold lines for the raffle and all who helped out in  anyway. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. All monies raised go  towards the ongoing development of the service. Once again, thank you for your generosity.

 

Prize winners are as follows

 

1st Prize – €300 – Andrew Doyle, Minvaude, Clonmore

 

2nd Prize- €150 – Mary Doyle, Raheen Tobinstown, Tullow

 

3rd Prize – – €50 – John O’ Neill, Ardristrin , Tullow    

 

Coffee Morning.

 

The countdown to Halloween has begun.

 

Come to the Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely for a fun Halloween Coffee Morning on Friday 30th October 10a.m – 1p.m. Enjoy a  cuppa, cake and chat. Halloween attire is optional. Thank you as always for your generous and valued support. Everyone is welcome!
