Dunlavin Flower & Garden Club – will host a talk by Padraig Hennigan, local bee keeper and honey producer in the Jonathan Swift School, on Wednesday, October 14th at 8.00pm. Admission is €5.00 – Tea included. All welcome – Bring a friend!

Dunlavin Walking and Running Club – will begin a new Couch to 5km on Monday, October 19th outside St. Kevin’s Community College at 7pm, and will continue for 8 weeks every Mon, Wed & Fri @ 7pm. Death
The death took place in Australia on October 9th 2015 of Sr. Margaret Whelan, late of Ballylaffin House. Sr Margaret was in her 99th year has spent almost 80 years in Australia as a Mercy nun. She is mourned by her many nieces and nephews .Her funeral took place in Australia. May Sr. Margaret rest in peace.

Dunlavin GAA
The GAA club are organising a “Night at the Dogs” on Friday November 27th 2015.It promises to be a fun night. For further details contact club members.

Strictly Come Dancing
St Nicholas Ladies Football and Donard /Glen Camogie clubs are hosting a strictly come dancing fundraiser on November 14th in St Laurence’s GAA complex Crookstown. Further details on St.Nicholas Ladies Facebook page.

Milk Round
Dunlavin Dairies have started a milk round in Donard. The milk is produced by their herd of Friesian Cross Shorthorn Cows using no artificial fertilisers or chemicals. Whole or semi skimmed milk can be delivered to your doorstep on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Telephone Arthur on 0872701675 .

Dunlavin Inn Golf Society
D.I.G.S. next outing will take place on Saturday October 17th to Bunclody Golf Club. Tee time 1pm to 1.30pm. The committee would like to thank Whittle Sourcing for their sponsorship on the day.
Badminton – Will has restart on Thursday nights in the Imaal Hall at 8.30pm. New and old members welcome.

Weighing – In
On the 12th November Rathsallagh House have their next Theatre Dining Night with a show called “Weighing In “. This is a fast paced comedy play about life, love and dieting. It is set in the Easi-Slim diet club where we will meet the highly driven Pam (Isobel Mahon – Glenroe, The Clinic) and the motherly Breda (Rose Henderson – Fair City , Father Ted ). Both attend the weekly clinic for the weigh-in and strike up an unlikely friendship. Telephone Rathsallagh House for bookings 045 403112. If previous theatre nights in Rathsallagh House are anything to go by this should be a cracker.

The Friendship Group – have started back on Fridays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm in the Parish Centre. New members welcome. There will be light exercises from 2.30pm. Anyone interested in the Community Alert panic button can find out more details at the Friendship Group on Fridays.
