Rathnew’s Nicky Mernagh celebrates the first of his 2 goals against St.Pat’s

Rathnew have won the Senior football championship for the 3rd year in a row after beating rivals St.Pat’s on Sunday afternoon in Aughrim.

Rathnew lead at by a point in a tight first half of very few chances.

The Villagers took the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half and St.Pat’s had no answer to a brace from Nicky Mernagh.

Final score Rathnew 3-6 St.Pat’s 0-9.
