Storm Barney has swept its way through Wicklow leaving thousands without power as a result.
Parts of Arklow, Wicklow, Aughrim, Greystones, Glendalough, Laragh, Kilcoole, Bray, Rathnew and Dunlavin remain in the dark as ESB crews continue to battle high winds in an effort to restore power nationwide.

There has been numerous reports of fallen trees across the county and many secondary roads are in a dangerous condition due to debris so care is still needed when travelling.
There has also been reports of damage to the roof of the Coral leisure centre in Wicklow town, while in Arklow falling Christmas lights caused disruption on the main street.
The worst of the storm has now passed but windy conditions are set to persist until midnight according to Met Eireann.
