First Responders

Aughrim First Responders wishes everyone a Merry Christmas & A Happy Healthy New Year. We would like to thank the community sports centre for providing us with a room for our training throughout the year. We remind the community there is a public access defibrillator located on the Credit Union building & as always we appreciate their facility. Thank you also to our volunteers for their dedication & effort. Best wishes to our Sharon Keogh for a safe trip to Africa in January!

Community Games Athletics

Community Games Athletics is now taking a break for the Christmas season and we look forward to seeing you all back in the New Year 2016 for a bright and positive start to the year.  We all wish you a very Happy and safe Christmas and hope Santa is good to you all. Operation Transformation 2016 will be back and you will be able to get rid of all that Christmas food and drink.

Active Retirement

Happy Christmas to all our members and their families.  Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, 5th January at 2.30pm when we will have a talk on 1916. On this occasion the meeting will be open to non members. Voting papers for a new committee will be distributed at the meeting. Our AGM will take place on the first Tuesday in February.

Market

Turkey & ham orders will be available for collection on Wednesday 23rd from 3pm – 4pm. The market will re-open on Saturday January 9th where a warm welcome awaits you. For further information please contact Caroline 086 0865838.

Stephen’s Day Fishing Competition

There will be a fishing competition at the NDAF “Fishing for All” Angling Facility, Rednagh Road, Aughrim on Bank Holiday Monday December 28th from 12 – 3pm. Prizes – Plaques and Fishing Vouchers for heaviest Senior catch of the day and Junior catch of the day. Entry fee included in admission ticket. Lotto

The numbers: were: 1, 2, 7 and 14 drawn in the Sports club lotto on Monday December 14th. Match three winners were: M. Gillick, Josie O’Byrne and A, C, O, and R Linehan.The jackpot is €5500.
