Santa: Will be calling in on a “Flying Visit”, it’s his busiest week of the year.

 

Senior Citizens Christmas Party: Grateful thanks to The Hollywood Inn for the beautiful meal they served. Very successful Party with  83 in attendance, unfortunately a few cancellation due to sickness. Wishing all a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year.

 

 

Music Under The Mountain

The annual music school Christmas concert is a chance for our young musicians to show their Mams, Dads & Grans just what they’ve been learning since Sept. It’s a fun night -playing onstage with their tutors. Lots of “goodies” to eat and drink including mince pies and mulled wine for the “big people”!

Family Walk

A family walk will take place in Hollywood on St Stephen’s Day, December 26. Three walks are arranged with a 12km walk starting at 12noon, a 6km walk commencing at 1pm and a 2km walk starting at 2pm. Refreshments and food will be available after the walks. Registration takes place at Tutty’s pub and costs 5 euro. Hollywood Tidy Towns

The committee continue their work mornings every Sat, meeting in the car park at 10am, new volunteers are always welcome. Please note volunteers needed to help with planting etc for next few Saturday’s, meet in Car Park 10 am. Thank You

 

West Wicklow Historical Society

The 8th Journal of the West Wicklow Historical Society, launched recently in Baltinglass, contains two articles by Hollywood authors.  Johnny Glennon has a fascinating piece on a famous row which broke out in 1886 between two publicans in Ballymore and which soon engulfed the entire parish of Ballymore and Hollywood.  Brendan Corrigan has a very interesting article on Robert Pipho of Hollywood who was sheriff of Dublin and lived in the castle at Hollywood in the second half of the 16th century.  The Journal is now on sale in Daly’s shop Hollywood, Blessington bookshop and other local outlets.

 

Hollywood Bowls

The Club bowl every Tuesday & Friday nights in The Hollywood Centre between 8-10pm. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the Winter nights

 

Hollywood Juvenile Badminton

The Hollywood Juvenile badminton are on holidays and will recommence on Monday 4th January for 2nd & 3rd Class 7pm-8pm.

Tuesday 5th  of January for 4th,5th & 6th Classes 6.30-8pm. Wednesday 6th January for 1st Year and upwards 6.30-8pm. If you haven’t already registered,  there are still a few places left, so come along on the relevant night and join.

 

Hollywood Fair

FAIR 2016  Preparations are in hand for next year’s Fair.  The Theme “1916” THE RISING” Fashion and Dress code to coincide with The Style of that era

Hollywood Fitness Classes

Classes continue every Tues & Thurs at 7.30 sharp in the Function Room, Poulaphuca House.  Please note change of venue. All levels of fitness, both male & female, catered for.  From beginners to those wanting a tougher challenge. All in a fun filled relaxed environment !! A male only class will be made available depending on numbers interested.  

 

Pilates Classes

The Pilates classes have finished for this year and will resume in Jan 2016.

Set Dancing

Will take place each Thursday from 8.15-10.15pm  in the Hollywood G.A.A. centre (Dunlavin Road). New people are always welcome.

 

Kidz in Theatre

Kidz In Theatre  are in the Hollywood Centre every Tuesday between 4-5pm for children from 4~18yrs who want acting classes and more confidence. The classes are just €7 per child and is being taught by the star of Mrs Brown’s Boys and RED ROCK on TV3. Following the success of Dunlavin, Kiltegan and Tinahely schools. Adult Jive Classes

Adult Jive Classes every Saturday in modern Jive dance. Professional teachers will teach you all the moves , that will make your friends envious. The time is between 3-5pm and both singles & couples are welcome.

Hollywood G.A.A. Lotto

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm.

The Doctor’s Clinic continues every Thursday morning from 9.30 -11.00am
