A 51 year old Wicklow man will be sentenced next year for raping and sexually assaulting two young brothers over a ten year period.
The man pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to 165 counts of rape and sexual assault against one boy and 40 similar offences against his brother between 1993 and 2003 at his Wicklow home.
The man who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to 165 counts against one boy and 40 similar offences against his brother between 1993 and 2003, at his home in Wicklow.
The accused was the partner of the boy’s mother. The case first came to light last year when the eldest of the two victims, who is now in his 30’s, went to gardai.
Both victims had wished to have the accused named, however Mister Justice Tony Hunt said the anonymity orders would remain in place for the time being.
He will be sentenced next year at the central criminal courts.
