SPECIAL ALERT ABOUT TEENS JUMPING INTO WATER AT GREYSTONES HARBOUR

Special alert is now being given because young teenagers are jumping into the water.

They are jumping into the water at Greystones Harbour Marina.

They are jumping into the fairway,  which is the route boats take to get to moorings.

They are also jumping from the roundheads into the paths of oncoming boats.

This is lethal and dangerous.

The boats cannot see the teenagers and the teenagers cannot see the boats.

The boats are heavy and many have engines.

There is serious risk of brain and spinal injuries and fatalities.

Special alert is being given to parents and teenagers alike.

Please be aware of what is going on.

There have been many near misses over the last few weeks.
