Pete Taylor head coach at Bray Boxing Club invites you to test the power of your punch at his Knock Out Punchathon this coming Saturday, to raise funds for Grace Vickers, a young Bray woman who is battling cancer for the second time. Bray Boxing Club have already raised €6,700 at their recent charity fight night for Grace.
The Knock Out Punchathon is open to anyone who fancies throwing a punch for a small fee of €3 which will be donated to Grace’s cancer treatment fund. The force, speed and impact of each participant’s punch will be measured using a specialised boxing instrument called ‘strike mate’ to determine who has the strongest blow in two categories – male and female. Each winner will receive a free months membership to Pete’s “Taylor Made Boxing Gym” at Bray Harbour and a voucher for KO fit food co’s new ‘making weight’ meal & juice plan. There are bonus prizes for anyone beating Pete’s punch power! Pete has also lined up some Irish boxing greats to join in the Punchathon including Jim Rock aka ‘the pink panther’. The event is to be held at KO Fitfood Co, Albert Walk in Bray this Saturday from 11.30am onwards.
Grace Vickers is a courageous young mother who fought breast cancer in 2014 using both alternative treatment and combined medical care and won, but two years after she was diagnosed, she found out that she was suffering from stage 4 breast cancer which has now spread to her liver and bones. Pete Taylor decided to host this Punchaton to raise funds to help Grace cover the costs of her cancer treatments.
