Sympathy is extended to Nuala Grace and family on the sudden death of Nuala’s sister Clare. Clare;s funeral took place in Portarlington. May Clare rest in Peace.

New Ventures

Best of luck to two new business ventures that have commenced in the town. Please support Reeces Barbers Shop (Coleborn’s Garage) and Napoli Traditional Fish and Chip Take Away. (Rose’s cafe) Great to see new businesses  opening in the town. Please shop local this Christmas. Keep our town alive.


1916 DVD

Dunlavin Remembers 1916 DVD – is now on sale for €6 each. It looks back at the highlights of a fantastic day in our village. Contact Antoinette on 087-6793588 or Jimmy on 087-2730238 to order. A limited number are available. Great present for loved ones living abroad


Westside Community Games – will continue this year with the smallest committee yet. The committee would be extremely grateful of any help, however small from the parents of children wishing to take part in any activities. A General Maintenance Caretaker – is required for the Imaal Hall, Dunlavin.  To qualify for this position, you must be in receipt of a Social Welfare payment for a least a year and be over 25 years of age. Friedreich’s Ataxia Research – now have a lovely selection of Christmas cards on sale from the Church and parish centre. They are sold in a pack of 15 cards for €8 of which, €5 is going directly to research.
