2016 Shoe Box Appeal

Hollywood NoName Club are helping the Inner City Homeless. They are looking for the following items to be put in a shoe box, covered in Christmas Paper and to be left open. Hats- Scarves- gloves- socks – underwear (new) – roll on Deodorants – soap – Small shampoo – wipes – toothbrush – toothpaste – chocolate bars – Sweets – vouchers for McDonalds/Burger King – Christmas Card. Please hand the Shoe Boxes into the Hollywood Centre to any member of staff or drop it to the NoName Club or any member of the Club up to and including next Wednesday 14th Dec. Your support is very much appreciated.


Live Nativity:  Will take place in Hollywood Village on Sunday 18th Dec at 3pm. With Christmas Carols and music. There will be a visit from Santa too. 


Rob & Conall’s Camino
Please lend your support. Rob Coyne and Conall Byrne from Hollywood are transition year students in St. Kevin’s Community College, Dunlavin and are fundraising for the Jack & Jill Foundation, which provides home nursing care to brain damaged children up to the age of 4 and end of life care to palliative babies up to the age of 4. Between now and May 2017 they will be organising various fundraising events which will finish with a 110km walk of the Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela (all expenses paid by boys/families). Their first big fundraiser is taking place on Sunday 18th December at 12.30pm – ROB & CONALL’S SANTA RUN which is a 5km Run/Walk starting in Hollywood Village. Rob and Conall will be running with some of their transition year classmates but anyone may join in. All donations go directly to Jack & Jill and every €16 the boys raise will provide 1 hour home nursing respite care for an affected child and family. Hollywood Juvenile Badminton

Juvenile badminton will be taking a break for Christmas after this week and starting back on 9th Jan as per usual times.   Most of the classes are full so we cannot take any more new members. Contact Aine Byrne the secretary for information on 087 9424335.


 Hollywood Tidy Towns

The Tidy towns along with Wicklow Co. Co. are providing a Christmas Tree recycling facility on Sat 7th Jan ’17.  You can drop your tree to the Church carpark between 10am & 12 noon on the morning.  The committee wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Healthy and Happy New Year, we’re looking forward to what’s to come in 2017. Set Dancing Classes

The Set Dancing Class has taken a winter break for the months of December and January, and will resume on Thursday the 2nd February 2107.

The Class extends its sympathies to the McGrath, O’Gorman and Browne families on their recent bereavements.


Friendship Club

Are on their Christmas break and will be back on 4th January 2017.

The Club bowl every Tuesday & Friday nights in The Hollywood Centre between 8-10pm. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the Winter nights


Adult Badminton

Takes place on Wednesday nights in the Hollywood Centre at 8pm. New members always welcome.


Hollywood NoName Club

The Hollywood NoName Club meet every Wednesday night at 8.00pm until 9.30pm. The club caters for 15-18 year old teenagers who wish to have fun with likeminded club members. Come along and see what it is all about.


Dunlavin Scout Group

We are currently recruiting new committed leaders for our troop from all local townlands. We are a volunteer based organisation, working with children. Full training is provided. If you think you would be interested in volunteering, please call 0862632859 for more information


Music Under The Mountain

Traditional Music Classes for children in the Hollywood Centre every Saturday morning from 10.30am to1.30pm.

Are on their Christmas break and will be back in January.


Hollywood GAA

Lotto Results for the 8th December. The numbers  drawn were 3 11 23 26. There was no winner of the Jackpot. The Sellers Prize was won by Deirdre Mulvey, The €50 winners were Farringtons Newtown, Kevin Cullen, Fergal Dunne. The next draw will be held in Poulaphouca  House on December 22nd December for a Jackpot of €7600. Extra prizes on this night for Christmas. Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Our annual table quiz will be held in Tutty’s on Tuesday 27th of December at 9pm. €40 for a table of 4.


Thanks to John McGrath of Baltinglass, Wicklow and Leinster who came to Hollywood on Sunday and presented our u8 and u10 players with their go games medals.

St. Kevin’s underage football fixtures, underage hurling fixtures and Go -Games fixtures are listed on the Hollywood GAA website.


Sinead O’Brien Dance School

The Hip Hop Dance Classes in The Hollywood Centre have resumed on Fridays 4.00 – 6.00 pm. New Dancers are more than welcome, contact Sinead for Details on 087 2924559


Kidz in Theatre

Adult Jive Classes

Adult Jive Classes every Saturday in modern Jive dance. Professional teachers will teach you all the moves, that will make your friends envious. The time is between 3-5pm and both singles & couples are welcome.

We have approached Wicklow County Council to have extra Street Lighting installed.  In particular in Car Park area.  Feel free to contact TD s /Councillors or whoever can assist. It has taken from 21st October to 17th November to have 2 light bulbs replaced? If you notice any Street Light needing a bulb replaced, when notifying Airtricity be sure to quote Pole No. thank you
